Before joining Yyotta, Mr. Hanks most recently served as Co-Founder and President of Hosted Solutions, a leading regional data center and managed web services provider. Hosted Solutions serviced more than 400 customers and had approximately 70 employees prior to being acquired by Windstream for $310 million. While at Hosted Solutions, Mr. Hanks won several awards including the Triangle Business Journal’s prestigious 40 under 40 award as well as numerous Fast50 awards. He was also a member of the Young Executives Association.
Prior to Hosted Solutions, Mr. Hanks served as the Consumer Division President with full P&L responsibilities at Duro Communications. Mr. Hanks led more than 100 employees while supporting in excess of 300,000 subscribers. Prior to his promotion to President, he served as Executive Vice President tasked to aggressively acquire North Carolina and South Carolina based ISPs and CLECs. Under his leadership, he was responsible for eight acquisitions.
Mr. Hanks began his technical career as a Certified Senior Data Sales Manager for Nortel Networks.
While at Nortel, Mr. Hanks served as an SBC team member responsible for closing a $1.5 billion Digital Multiplexing deal, the largest of its kind in Nortel’s history. Mr. Hanks had additional responsibilities as a team member responsible for reviewing ISP and CLEC business plans while assisting in the decision to allocate a multimillion-dollar annual revolver in the form of working capital and vendor financing. Mr. Hanks won several sales awards culminating with the most prestigious Circle of Excellence award administered to the top 3% of Nortel’s global sales force.
He is a graduate of University of North Carolina Greensboro and earned an MBA from Averett University.
